Our Organic Sourdough Starter is approximately 6 1/2 years old and was originally purchased as a mature Starter from Ballarina Farms. Your mature, organic starter will arrived in a glass Weck Sourdough Jar along with a silicone spurtle for mixing and the feeding/care instructions.  We will also include a list of a few of our favorite recipe sites to get you started along with an invitation to join our Sourdough Sisters & Misters Facebook Group.  This is a private group we created for customers that have attended one of our classes or purchased their Sourdough Starter from us.

Once we receive your order, we will contact you if you selected "Local Pickup" to set a time for the pickup.  And if you requested the shipping option, we will get that shipped out within a couple of days so that we can prep it for shipping.  Please know that it will be ready for feeding once you receive it.

FYI...Since Starters are alive and need to be fed, we recommend naming your Starter.  Ours is named Willow after her Mother, Willa.
